Straight Arrow Readiness Certification (SARC)
A documented readiness and safety certification used by organizations before intake or placement to reduce risk and create defensible records.
What This Certification Is
The Straight Arrow Readiness Certification (SARC) is a standardized documentation process that confirms an individual has reviewed and acknowledged baseline expectations related to independent living, safety, conduct, and personal responsibility.
SARC exists to support risk reduction, consistency, and accountability in housing programs, workforce environments, and other structured settings where readiness expectations matter.
What This Certification Is Not
This certification is not education, training, treatment, licensure, or counseling. It does not certify competency, fitness, eligibility, or guarantee placement, employment, or outcomes of any kind.
SARC documents acknowledgment and completion only. All intake, placement, and participation decisions remain solely with the receiving organization.
Why Organizations Require SARC
Many programs already expect participants to understand daily living responsibilities, conduct standards, safety awareness, and accountability. SARC standardizes and documents that these expectations were clearly communicated before engagement.
This creates a clear, time-stamped record organizations can rely on if intake decisions or incidents are later questioned.
How It Works
1. You complete the Straight Arrow Readiness Certification
2. Your acknowledgment and completion are documented
3. A completion record is generated
4. The record may be submitted to a referring organization
SARC complements existing intake and screening processes. It does not replace professional judgment.
